I’ve been involved with network marketing businesses for over 13 years when I built a team of more than 25,400 distributors in a “get paid to surf” MLM called AllAdvantage, and have got to the top in several MLM companies since. Many people ask me how to find the best MLM opportunities – after all these are many out there! From my experience, I believe there are several things to take into account when choosing a MLM opportunity:
What is the Risk to Reward Ratio?

I’ve been involved with network marketing businesses for over 13 years when I built a team of more than 25,400 distributors in a “get paid to surf” MLM called AllAdvantage, and have got to the top in several MLM companies since. Many people ask me how to find the best MLM opportunities – after all these are many out there! From my experience, I believe there are several things to take into account when choosing a MLM opportunity:

What is the Risk to Reward Ratio?

Typically there will be a joining fee when you become a distributor with a MLM company. This will vary from opportunity to opportunity. It could range from £25 to £200. The best MLM opportunities will offer distributors a guarantee whereby if they don’t earn at least £XXX amount in their first XX months (fill in the blanks), they will get their joining fee refunded.. provided of course that they follow the system supplied in the training.

Are Product or Service Based MLM Companies Best?

There are MLM programs based on products and ones based on services. Both can be equally successful. Do you prefer selling physical products and interacting with customers regarding their transactions, or do you prefer a more automated approach of a service-based MLM where you can just concentrate on finding new customers and distributors?

Consider how easy it will be for you to market both the retail and opportunity side of the business. I find that the best MLM opportunities often involve a product with proven health benefits, or a service that saves the customer money. Both these types of business are relatively easy to sell. Consider if you would prefer dealing in products or services when choosing the right MLM opportunity for you.

Have they got the pricing right?

I recommend that you avoid any MLM opportunities where the pricing of the product is higher than people can obtain the product for elsewhere. If you are going for a product based MLM I would recommend you look at ones with unique products that you can only buy through the company and are not available in the shops.

Service based MLM companies, such as those offering telephone services tend to work best when they can offer consumers guaranteed savings, or free calls. These types of services are easy to sell and have a recurring monthly charge in the form of monthly line rental charges whcih generates an ongoing commission.

Is the compensation plan good?

Different MLM opportunities pay commission down varying levels of distributors or agents. Typically a good MLM will pay down seven plus levels. This commission structure allows you to build massive teams (sometimes known as “downlines”) of distributors that you can help to train to follow the proven system supplied by the company. Needless to say you should choose an MLM company that has a proven track record and excellent training.

Has the company got longevity?

Many people will urge you to jump on the latest new MLM opportunity in pre-launch. However I would urge caution in this regard. In my experience the best results have always been obtained by using a proven system that is easily replicated.

At the end of the day it is your decision which MLM opportunity you feel most comfortable with. My only recommendation to you is that you consider the true demand for the product or service being offered. Is it really something that enough people will want/use?

Is it a product or service that enough people want?

Ideally it should be easy to generate leads once you have had the right training because you will be promoting a product or service that people are using already. That way you don’t have to try to convince anyone to start doing something new. Simply by purchasing from you instead of their existing (more expensive) supplier they will save money and you will earn money at the same time. It’s a win-win situation, a “no-brainer” as I put it!

Earn money or save money – the choice is yours!

Everyone I know has a mobile phone, they switch on the lights every morning and evening, they heat their home, cook their dinner, boil the kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee, and use the internet. The best MLM opportunity I’ve found that involves all these things is the Utility Warehouse. In my opinion, they offer the best commission rates I’ve seen, the best savings to the customer (I personally use them for all my utilities), and excellent bonuses such as a company car – as soon as you earn more than £175 a week – which is a very achievable target if you work at it. Full training is provided in the form of regular training events, webinars, and newsletters.

Success stories with the Utility Warehouse

Mum builds business between school runs

After my children started school I found myself with plenty of free time that I wanted to put to good use, but I needed to ensure that I had enough flexibility to do the school runs. The idea of earning a little extra money had definite appeal and the Utility Warehouse seemed to fit my requirements nicely. Little did I know that I had stumbled across a potential goldmine! Now when I buy clothes or a new car, I like being able to tell the other mums that it was thanks to my own efforts!
- Susan Mackenzie

University drop-out semi-retired in his 30’s

I thought that working this opportunity part-time would be a good way to help me repay my huge student debts, overdrafts, and credit card bills. But after a few short years, the Utility Warehouse allowed me, while still in my 20’s, to clear my student debts and build an extensive property portfolio, while having the freedom to go on holiday six or seven times a year. It took about five years to become semi-retired – that sure beats working until I’m 75. If you’re looking to beat the rat-race, you’ve found the right vehicle.
- Wes Linden

Franchisee finds a better model

I got involved because I saw a great opportunity to work this business alongside my other business interests. I have been in franchising for over 17 years and saw that this business model was not only very similar but actually a lot better. The main benefit of this business is that you are rewarded again and again for work you do just once, which means I can leverage the most valuable thing to me – TIME. That’s definitely something I did not have a lot of when I started but now I’m able to spend less time in my franchises and work with more freedom than ever on building my long-term fortune.
- Joga Shoker
